Chamnap Nay earned her name as Mrs. Eggroll® while working at St. Jude Medical, now Abbott Laboratories, when co-workers cooperated to share lunches ( Chamnap brought egg rolls ) and to raise money for various organizations.
Chamnap's passion to help others grew to include selling food at public venues including the MN State Fair, Festival of Nations, International Festival, Mekong Night Market, Churches, Temples, and Schools.
The idea for Mrs. Eggroll® solidified in 2016 as a partnership to support an organization call IKARE which operates the National Khmer Legacy Museum in St. Paul, MN. It is a non-profit ( 501 c3) organization that educates and promotes the stories and history of the genocide survivors of Cambodia and their children. The organization also operates the only Cambodian museum outside Cambodia that promotes the arts, culture, and positive role models to reverse the effects of the Cambodian genocide in 1970s. It was a daunting mission with a low Cambodian population and lack of support from State and Federal Government who have traditionally funded only large organizations. Further, out of the 35,000 museums in the United States, a majority are unable to support themselves without Government support. More pressing was the fact that organizations are technically contractors of the Government to receive funding.
To have the freedom to promote arts, culture, humanity, stories, and history of a small population, it was clear that a better way to generate money was needed.
Today, Mrs. Eggroll® continues to hold fundraising events to support not only the IKARE but other organizations who request help. Perhaps it isn't a coincidence that Chamnap is interested in charity given her early 20s experience with World Vision Cambodia where she liased with victims of child trafficking, street children, and child labor.

We can't save the world unless we start in our own community. We start by sponsoring activities to empower individuals in the arts, culture, humanity, and development.
What happens in the world effects us daily. When children and elders around the world become abandoned, we abandon our humanity.
